Description

Ingredients
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 large egg
1 tbsp water
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 large sweet onion
Instructions
Combine flour, smoked paprika, and 1/4 tsp salt in a shallow dish
Whisk egg with water in a second dish
Mix panko with remaining 1/4 tsp salt in a third dish
Dredge onion rings in flour mixture, shaking off excess
Dip in egg mixture, then press into panko coating
Spray both sides with oil
Arrange rings in a single layer in air fryer
Cook at 375°F for 10 minutes, flipping midway
Cover cooked rings to keep warm
Notes
Chill coated rings for 10 minutes for extra crispness
Use a wire rack for even browning
Cook in batches to avoid overcrowding
Spray oil directly on rings after coating
Let rest 2 minutes before serving for best crispness
