Ingredients
1 cup almond milk (or oat/soy milk)
1 cup frozen berry mix (blackberry, blueberry, raspberry)
1/2 frozen banana
1 cup fresh spinach or kale
2 teaspoons chia seeds
Instructions
Pour the almond milk into the blender carafe.
Add the spinach or kale leaves to the liquid.
Layer the frozen berry mix and frozen banana on top.
Sprinkle the chia seeds over the fruit.
Secure the lid and pulse on low for 10 seconds.
Increase speed to high and blend for 45 seconds until smooth.
Pour into a chilled glass and serve immediately.
Notes
Add more chia seeds if a thicker consistency is desired. Ensure tough stems are removed from kale before blending. Using frozen banana and berries eliminates the need for ice, resulting in a richer, more flavorful smoothie.
